Persuasive Texts
This week we continued our unit on persuasive texts. The main features of persuasion such as how to effectively convince someone to agree with your point of view will be discussed. We also did our first Big Write.

Persuasive Texts
Next week, we will review our Big Writes and discuss how to improve for next time. We will also conclude our unit on Persuasive Texts and finish our end of unit poster project.

Maths
|
Review
This week In Math class, we spent the week reviewing past concepts learnt in class in preparation for our first unit test. Place value, addition, subtraction, number lines, and geometry were all reviewed.

Number Sense
Next week, we will begin to mark numbers on a land-marked line, compare and order numbers, using < and > signs, work systematically to find all possible inequalities, find 1 and 10 more or less using the 100-square, find 10 more and 10 less than any 2-digit number.

Unit of Inquiry

This week in UOI, we spent time creating our ‘Healthy Habits’ poster second draft. We added in suggestions from Mr. Millican and made sure our grammar and spelling was correct.
|
Next week in UOI, we will finish our ‘Healthy Habits’ poster. We will use the class computers to learn how to find pictures on the internet. Finally, we will discuss our posters with the class.
