Y2M Weekly Update: 6th November- 10th November 2017

English	Fairy Tales This week in English class, we will begin to locate the beginning, middle, and end of a story. We will also look at what makes an effective Fairy Tale character and setting.	Fairy Tales Next week in English class, we will continue to look at the various components of Fairy Tales including characters and settings. We will also create a storyboard for a Fairy Tale that we have discussed in class.
Maths	Addition and Subtraction Understand and use terms and vocabulary associated with position, direction and movement; Measure lengths using uniform units; Begin to measure in centimetres and metres	Position, Direction, and Measuring Add and subtract 2-digit numbers; Solve addition and subtraction problems using concrete and pictorial representations; Add near doubles to double 15; Add several small numbers spotting near doubles or pairs to 10, etc.
Unit of Inquiry	How We Express Ourselves Next week in UOI, we will look at a variety of live performances and think about how we can incorporate acting and singing best practices into our upcoming KS1 Production.	How We Express Ourselves Next week in UOI, we will focus on improving our acting skills by participating in a variety of acting and drama games in class.
