This week in English class, we created our own storyboards and learnt how to effectively use speech bubbles that link to our writing.
|
Next week in English class, we will learn how to properly research using non fiction books and the Internet. For online research we will use Kidzsearch; a safe online search portal that we have previously used in class. Feel free to allow your child to use the website at home as it’s a great educational resource.

Maths
|
This week in Maths class, we added and subtracted 1-digit numbers to and from 2-digit numbers; subtracted 2-digit numbers by counting back in tens and ones; and added two 2-digit numbers by counting in 10s.
|
Next week in Maths, we will measure weight using standard or uniform non-standard units; draw a block graph where one square represents two units; and weigh items using 100g weights using scales marked in multiples of 1kg or 100g.

Sharing the Planet
This week in UOI, we looked at different survival mechanisms used by a variety of plants and animals. We also studied food webs and the interconnectedness of the food chain.

Sharing the Planet
Next week in UOI, we will study how humans impact the survival of living creatures and the effects of pollution and urbanization.
