This week in English class, we wrote and discussed the importance of schools within a community. It’s impact on people as well as the community as a whole was looked at and studied.

Next week in English class, we will write about other key features of a functioning community such as having police, firefighters, waste removal workers, etc.

Maths
|
This week in Math class, we practiced multiplication and division to ‘clever counting’ (steps of 2, 3, 5, 10), understanding multiplication as arrays, and solving divisions as missing number problems.

Next week in Math class, we will measure and estimate lengths in centimetres; tell the time involving multiples of 5 minutes past the hour and 5 minutes to the hour; tell time to 5 minutes; begin to say the time 10 minutes later
